So in this tutorial we will use Photoshop, some brushes from Brusheezy and some stock photos.

Step 1

Open Photoshop and create a new document, I'm using 1920x1200 pixels.

Step 2

Add a new layer, fill it with white then make sure you have black and white for the foreground and background colors. Then go to Filter>Texture>Texturizer. Use Canvas for the Texture, 75% for the Scaling, 3 for the Relief and for the Light choose Top Right.

Step 3

Let's add a nice texture. You can use the image of your choice it could be parchment paper for example. I'm using a image from Shutterstock that you can buy it at: http://www.shutterstock.com/pic-20845342-old-yellow-paper-background-with-scratches.html

Place the image in the document on top of the other layers. After that, change the Opacity to 75%.

Step 4

Now let's place an image in our document. I'm using a photo of a guy walking in the field from Shutterstock, you can get it here. The image has to go beneath the texture layer. After that go to Layer>Group Layer. The layer of the image will be inside a folder in the Layer Palette. Select the folder and go to Layer>Layer Mask>Hide all.

Step 5

The image is hiding because of the mask. So now, let's use some Watercolor Brushes. The ones I use are from Brusheezy and you can download them here http://www.brusheezy.com/brushes?search=watercolor.

So select one of the watercolor brushes and them white for the color and paint on the layer mask of the group. You will notice that the image will start showing.

Step 6

Pick another Brush and paint again.

Step 7

Keep painting untill you can see the image without losing the brush splatters.

Step 8

Now add another layer, this time beneath the Folder that the image is in. Then again using the watercolor brushes paint over the layer using colors like: pink, blue and yellow. Use the image below for reference.

Step 9

Let's just adjust the color of the image. Select the image and go to Image>Adjustment>Photo Filter. SelectWarning Filter (85) and 55% for the Density. Also select the Preserve Luminosity option

Step 10

Select the image and go to Filter>Artistic>Dry Brush. Use 0 for the Brush Size, 9 for the Brush Detail and 1 for the Texture.

Conclusion

Just place your logo and that it you will have a really cool effect and super simple to achieve. That can be used for website headers to create a simply awesome design, and, of course to create posters. Also you can reduce the opacity of the paper texture. I reduced to 50%, that way we can drive the viewer's attention to the watercolor effect.

Se me apareció Marzo y me había olvidado completamente de las clases y los tutoriales, así que me pongo las pilas para enseñarles algo bien práctico y que muchas personas y visitantes de este sitio web me habían solicitado.
En este tutorial explico como crear una imagen de cinta adhesiva (Scoch) efecto que ocupo como detalle en las imágenes de mi blog.
El tutorial lo he realizado paso a paso en el nuevo Photoshop CS3, pero es posible hacerlo con versiones anteriores (CS, CS2).
Espero este truco les sea de mucha utilidad para darle ese toque realista a las imágenes.

PASO 1
Comenzamos creando un archivo nuevo de más o menos unos 500 x 300 px (las medidas son aproximadas) pintar de un color el fondo usando la herramienta “Bote de pintura” y luego agregamos una capa nueva (Layer 1) para crear nuestra cinta Scoch.

Teniendo seleccionada la nueva capa (Layer 1) usamos la herramienta “Marco rectangular” para crear el espacio que ocupará la cinta como se puede apreciar en la imagen.

PASO 2
Nuevamente usando el “Bote de Pintura” pintamos dentro de la selección con un color gris suave.

PASO 3
Bien, ahora le daremos los detalles de las arrugas de la cinta adhesiva, usando la herramienta Sobreexponer, se debe pasar sobre el color gris, creando algunas rayas en forma diagonal, la función de esta herramienta es aclarar el color.

PASO 4
Ahora usaremos la herramienta Subexponer para oscurer algunos detalles de las arrugas, es decir resaltar los detalles más claros oscureciendo sus costados o bordes. Esta herramienta hace lo contrario de la anterior (la encuentras en el mismo sitio que la herramienta Sobreexponer).

PASO 5
En el menú “Filtros” (Filter) entraremos a la categoría “Artísticos” para utilizar el filtro “Plastificado”, en la ventana del filtro debes colocar las propiedades que aparecen en la imagen.

PASO 6
En la paleta de “Capas” (Layers) bajar opacidad de la capa en donde esta nuestra cinta a un 40%, con este propiedad nuestra cinta quedara semi trasparente, buen detalle si queremos colocar la cinta sobre alguna otra imagen como suelo utilizarlo en mis fotografías del blog.

PASO 7
Como último detalle le agregaremos un poco de sombra para darle un toque mas realista. Ir al menú “Capas”/ “Estilos de Capa”/ “Sombra Paralela”, en la ventana de propiedades que se abrirá debes darle los parámetros que ves en la imagen.

Eso es todo espero les resulte, practícalo un par de veces hasta que domines bien la técnica, también puedes agregarle un detalle rasgado o irregular en los extremos para mejorar aún más el efecto de la cinta adhesiva.

Un Tutorial que mucha gente y visitantes de este sitio web me habían solicitado en más de una ocación. Hoy tomando un poquito de tiempo de mi trabajo, hice las capturas de imagen necesarias para explicar este sencillo ejercicio de levantar una esquina de una imagen (tambíen podría ser una fotografía) y darle ese aspecto realista junto a su sombra.

Espero les sea muy útil y si prefieren pueden dejarme un comentario o alguna sugerencia o modificación a este tutorial.

PASO 1
Comenzamos creando un archivo nuevo de unos 500 x 500 px (las medidas son aproximadas) pintar de un color el fondo usando la herramienta “Bote de pintura” y luego agregar una capa nueva (Layer 1) para crear nuestra imagen.

PASO 4

PASO 5
Ahora separaremos la sombra de la imagen, esto con el fin de tener ambos en capas diferentes.
Ir al menú “Capas”/ “Estilos de Capa”/ “Crear Capa”. El resultado en la paleta de capas debe ser el siguiente.


PASO 6
Ahora que tenemos las capas de la imagen nueva y su sombra separada, seleccionaremos la primera capa de la imagen y doblaremos su esquina.
Ir al menú “Edición”/ “Transformar”/ “Deformar”
Atención que esta opción solo esta disponible en las 2 últimas versiones de Photoshop (CS3 y CS2)


PASO 7
Esta Herramienta “Deformar” nos coloca una malla de vectores alrededor de la imagen, tomaremos de una de las esquinas inferiores y levantaremos con la ayuda de la herramienta mover.


PASO 8
Una vez hemos levantado o doblado la esquina de la imagen finalizaremos este proceso simplemente presionando la tecla ENTER o haciendo un doble clic con el mouse.
